
The History of Cafe Kili

"Recently opened Café Kili of Temple Terrace is a dream come true for Rose. A professional nurse by trade, she relocated with her family to the Bay area 10 years ago from her native Kenya. Since arriving in the United States, she’s worked at various jobs, raised three sons, and is an active member in her church, West Gate Baptist. In spite of a busy life during these years as wife, mother and financial contributor to the family, she continued to nurture a personal dream of selling fresh roasted coffee.
Growing up as the daughter of a coffee farmer had many benefits. The family business, located in the Central Province of Kenya, was sufficiently prosperous that Rose and her siblings were able to attend school and pursue professional careers. Contributing to a family business left Rose with entrepreneur attitudes and a willingness to take risks. With all this experience in her favor, she lacked one skill she felt essential to delivering quality coffee – the craft of roasting coffee beans. About Our Coffee

Type of Coffee
Kenya AA
It’s characterized as having winy taste profile referring to the fruit acid taste structure of Kenya AA. The word acid means it’s dry and crisp. So at the end of the day, Keya coffee is known for its berry and black current taste. So if one wants to learn about tasting the world’s greatest coffee, time should be spent with Kenya coffee in your cup. The fruit structure is intact and the berry tastes are definitely there. After all, Rose, who grew up taking care of a coffee farm, recommends Kenya AA, as she is a true artist behind a delicious cup of coffee. Her expertise, devotion, and deep knowledge of the art of growing and processing coffee has thrived for generations in her family, owning a coffee farm in Kenya. Kenya Arabica is grown in rich, volcanic soil found in the Kenyan highlands between 1400 to 2000 meters above sea level. It’s an established fact that the finest Arabica is grown in Kenya. The Kenya AA served by Cafe Kili is premium Kenyan coffee. It has good size formation of large beans (7.2 mm screen).
Ethiopia
From the birthplace of coffee comes a truly historic and exotic coffee. Gathered primarily from wild trees, Ethiopian Yiragacheffe coffee has a thick body, pleasant acidity, and an earthy aroma.
Tanzania
From the slopes of Mount Kili come a sweetly acidic and wonderfully aromatic coffee. Its intense flavor sweet berry softened by wine and fruit overtones.
